About the
Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Fiber Fulfillment Installation Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, testing, and activation of fiber optic services in residential buildings , ensuring top-tier service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform fiber optic installations and activations for residential customers. Install and configure ONTs, modems, routers, and other customer-premise equipment. Terminate, test, and troubleshoot fiber lines using appropriate tools (OTDR, light meters, etc.). Maintain accurate records of work performed, including installation documentation and customer notes. Coordinate with dispatch, support teams, and customers to complete work orders efficiently. Educate customers on how to use their fiber internet services and troubleshoot basic issues. Ensure all work complies with applicable safety standards and company protocols.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training preferred. Previous experience with fiber optic installation (residential or commercial) strongly preferred. Familiarity with fiber splicing, FTTH (Fiber to the Home) architecture, and structured cabling or willingness to learn. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and fiber testing equipment. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple service calls per day. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.
