33 per month commensurate with experience. Job Description Summary The George H.W. Bush Combat development Complex (BCDC) and The Texas A&M University System (TAMUS) invite application for a full-time Technologist. The Technologist {Test Systems Engineer) works under the general supervision of the Director of Testing for the Innovation Proving Ground (IPG) and supports the operation of IPG range instrumentation, communications, and data acquisition systems as well as the emplacement of targets, obstacles, and structures to create realistic applied research and testing environments. Under general supervision, the Technologist II uses principles and theories of engineering, math and science to solve technical problems within discipline(s) in support of engineering and engineering research. Project assignments require initiative and independent judgment; much of the work will be outside on the BCDC test range facilities. The BCDC

The BCDC is the result of a partnership between the U.S. Army Futures Command, The Texas A&M University System, and the State of Texas. The $200 million complex is designed to bring together researchers from U.S. universities, the military and the private sector for collaboration, demonstrations, and high-tech testing of initiatives to help accelerate military innovation for our nation's defense.

Responsibilities:

• Provides technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems in area of expertise.
• Utilizes established engineering principles in the design and evaluation of test range architectures.
• Ensures accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring of work activities.
• Create and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches with some guidance.
• Operates IPG maintenance vehicles (skid loader, UTVs) and other maintenance systems and hardware to sustain range conditions and install/de-install instrumentation and network capabilities.
• Working with BCDC research teams and other customers, provide expert advice on the use of IPG capabilities to support research.
• Provides direct support to IPG range operations and event phases: plan/prepare, execution, analysis and reposting, and after-action review.
• Provide direct support to data support teams including instrumentation and range systems verification and validation.
• Other duties as required.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Four years of experience.

Registration, Certifications, and Licenses:

• Must be able to gain and maintain a DoD (Department of Defense) security clearance.
• Must have a Part 107 FAA License for UAS operations or have the ability to achieve licensure within 12 months of hire.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Basic knowledge of operating data acquisition systems (instrumentation, sensors) and network (MeshNet, radio) devices.
• Ability to operate range maintenance machinery and tools.
• Basic knowledge of computer-aided presentation and documentation techniques, and design.
• Basic knowledge of mathematical formulas and computations and data gathering methods.
• Basic knowledge of engineering work planning and control methods.
• Ability to effectively communicate engineering solutions both verbally and in writing to management, customers, and peers.
• Identify needs of upcoming tests and develop solutions.
• Manage property bookkeeping records and positive control of all equipment within the IPG.
• Good verbal and written communication with management, customers, peers, and state agencies.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
