Job Description

Overview Mobility City of Montgomery County, Tx is the local franchise operator for Mobility City, a national brand who serves as the industry leader in repairs, rentals, and sales of mobility equipment. We provide service to veterans, seniors, and the physically challenged via our mobile service vans and interactive showrooms. Our experienced Technicians visit people's homes or institutions to fix equipment like powered mobility scooters, lift recliners, walkers, powered wheelchairs, hospital beds, stairlifts and more. Mobility City has over 50 stores and 100 national accounts with big box retailers, providing white glove delivery and warranty work. Your most important skill set will be "You". Our perfect candidate will have superior people skills, be customer service focused and have compassion for our customer who has mobility needs. We seek a candidate who is driven by helping to make people's lives better and more comfortable, one customer encounter at a time. Mechanical skills and a working knowledge of electronics troubleshooting is important and necessary. We provide all the training, tools, and the vehicle you will need to successfully complete our entire service offering which includes modular ramps, stair lifts and vertical lift installations. Past applicants with HVAC experience, auto mechanics, industrial maintenance, handyman capabilities and/or commercial appliance maintenance have all made an easy transition to our mobility equipment repair field. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with our company and is willing to grow into the sales and customer service side of the business and potentially into management as well or is willing to transfer to help open new stores down the road. General Job Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, repair, inspect and maintain mobility equipment. Perform preventive maintenance. Install stairlifts, automotive lifts, modular ramp systems and vertical platform lifts. Deliver, set up, demo products and train customers. Work within our Computer system to take notes, update accounts and follow up with national accounts and customers. Build relationships with national account reps and customers. Identify necessary parts for repairs and maintain inventory stock. Complete job orders documenting your work in detail. Travel to customers in our company vehicle. Keep yourself and your company vehicle safe. Always maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude. We require a current driver's license, and a clean driving record. Assist Showroom Specialist with walk in customers and tune-up. A clean background check is required. We prefer a high school diploma or GED Duties Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial equipment and systems. Read and interpret schematics to diagnose issues effectively. Analyze problems and implement solutions in a timely manner. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns professionally. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems and other machinery. Collaborate with team members to fabricate parts as needed for repairs. Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used during each visit. Ensure compliance with safety standards while working in various environments. Qualifications Proven experience in field service or a related technical role. Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance practices and HVAC systems. Familiarity with logic controllers and their applications in industrial settings. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
