Monday-Saturday OT likely — up to ~60 hours/week, 6 days
Start Date:
ASAP Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic cable in aerial, underground, and buried environments. Perform fiber splicing, termination, and testing using OTDR, power meter, and other test equipment. Conduct site surveys to assess the best routing and installation practices. Interpret and work from blueprints, work orders, schematics, and splice diagrams. Document all work performed, including test results, photos, and as-built drawings. Adhere to safety standards, regulations, and company procedures at all times. Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other field personnel. Troubleshoot and repair fiber outages, cut fibers, and other network issues. Perform routine maintenance and emergency restorations as needed. Operate and maintain splicing trailers, bucket trucks, and other related equipment. Qualifications 1+ year experience in OSP data center construction Experience with fiber splicing highly preferred. Familiarity with high fiber-count environments (e.g., Microsoft data center projects) is a plus. Familiarity with fiber optic testing tools (OTDR, power meter, light source). Ability to read and interpret technical documents and construction drawings. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physically demanding environments. Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as required.
