Job Description
Calibration Metrology Technician Position Summary Accura Calibration is an
ISO/IEC 17025
accredited calibration laboratory. Our Calibration Metrology Technicians perform calibration, adjustment, evaluation, and minor repair work on RF, electrical, and mechanical measurement equipment, working against traceable standards and within formal uncertainty budgets. All work is performed in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 / ANSI
Z540.1, following OEM, customer, or GIDEP procedures. This is a metrology role — not test, QA, or production work. If you enjoy careful measurement, uncertainty analysis, and well-documented results, this is the right kind of job. We are willing to train candidates with strong math, mechanical, and technical aptitude who have the willingness to learn and a desire to develop their skills. Responsibilities Perform calibration, diagnostic, and preventive maintenance on instrumentation in accordance with established procedures, supporting traceability and calculating uncertainties as needed. Create calibration datasheets accurately and effectively, based on instrument specifications and approved calibration procedures. Make decisions based on test results to adjust parameters of operation and maintain product conformity to specifications. Determine whether equipment is serviceable or economical to repair. Use OEM software to configure and troubleshoot equipment. Document all abnormal findings and communicate clearly with affected parties. Investigate issues, identify solutions, and implement corrective actions; escalate complex issues to management as needed. Identify, review, and upload corresponding manuals, instructions, and specifications; create and maintain item types and items in the lab system. Develop and refine calibration procedures and methods to improve processes. Provide remote troubleshooting and technical support to customers via email and phone, and to other technicians and Accura partners. Perform calibration work at customer facilities and review completed work post-onsite for accuracy. Participate in audits and assessments; adhere to all safety regulations and protocols.
