6:45am-3:15pm Mon-Fri $18-$22/hr 2nd
Shift:
3:30 pm-12:00 am $19/hr
Motherboard Repair Technician Position Summary:
The Motherboard Repair Technician is responsible for diagnosing and repairing computer motherboards and related components at a component level. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics, with expertise in reading and interpreting schematics, using diagnostic tools, and performing precise soldering tasks. This position requires a high degree of technical acumen and problem-solving ability.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair motherboards and related hardware down to the component level. Interpret and understand electronic schematics and diagrams to troubleshoot circuit issues. Utilize diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment to identify faults. Perform precise soldering and de-soldering of components on PCB boards. Conduct functional tests and quality checks to ensure all repairs meet industry standards. Document all repair activities and maintain accurate records of work performed. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and repair methodologies. Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and improve repair processes.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing motherboards and electronic components at the component level. Proficiency in reading and understanding electronic schematics and diagrams. Strong soldering skills with experience in both surface mount and through-hole components. Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools, including multimeters and oscilloscopes. Background in Computer Engineering or equivalent technical experience. Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to troubleshooting. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
