Position:

Fiber Optic Fusion Splicer Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Fiber Optic Fusion Splicer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of hands-on experience in fiber optic fusion splicing, along with a strong understanding of computer systems and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing fusion splicing of fiber optic cables according to industry standards and project specifications. Additionally, they must possess a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and prioritize safety in all aspects of their work.

Responsibilities:

Perform fusion splicing of fiber optic cables in accordance with project requirements. Ensure the quality and integrity of spliced fibers, meeting or exceeding industry standards. Utilize computer systems for documentation, reporting, and communication purposes. Collaborate with team members and project managers to ensure successful project completion. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times, both on-site and in the office. Read construction prints and understand project requirements for effective execution of work. Maintain accurate records of splicing activities and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications:

2-3 years of hands-on experience in fiber optic fusion splicing. Strong understanding of computer systems, including proficiency in relevant software applications. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with the ability to maintain a valid driver's license. Ability to read construction prints and understand project requirements. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry practices.
