Job Description

Automation / Controls Specialist Pneumatic and Hydraulic Co. Katy, TX Full-Time Who We Are Pneumatic and Hydraulic Co. is a leader in industrial automation, fluid power, and manufacturing solutions, delivering high quality systems that support critical operations across multiple industries. What You'll Do Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs for automation systems Design and implement control logic including ladder logic, function block, and structured text Install, test, and maintain control panels, HMIs, and industrial networks Diagnose and resolve electrical and control system issues to minimize downtime Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs Configure and integrate VFDs, sensors, and automation components Support system design, testing, and continuous improvement efforts Ensure compliance with
UL 891, UL
1008, and other electrical standards Provide technical support to production, field service, and sales teams Assist with quotes and bills of materials Travel monthly for out of state site visits and service calls What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred (or equivalent experience) 3+ years of automation or controls experience preferred Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting experience Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics Working knowledge of industrial automation systems and components Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines PaySchedule Competitive salary based on experience Monday through Friday schedule (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) Overtime as needed Additional Information Frequent travel required Work environment is primarily office based with occasional shop and field work PPE required in designated areas including steel toe boots and safety glasses Position reports directly to the General Manager Why Join Pneumatic and Hydraulic Co.
