McKain Power Systems Consulting, LLC in Katy, TX seeksa Electrical Technician to Leading the creation of technical specification and integration documentation for machine systems components, ECM's and software; Working with machine system and sub-system teams to resolve system design and integration issues during development and production; Reporting technical status to related Cat Electronics teams in gateway and stakeholder updates; Support and communication of software releases, including documentation required by field follow and/or customers for successfully updating software, wiring, and components; Coordinating software development activities with AutoCAD Electrical Designs and ensuring they are completed on schedule; Test plan development and system/software validation activities; Modify, maintain, or repair electronic equipment or systems to ensure proper functioning; Replace defective components or parts, using hand tools and precision instruments; Maintain equipment logs that record perfo1mance problems, repairs, calibrations, or tests; Set up and test industrial equipment to ensure that it functions properly; Operate equipment to demonstrate proper use or to analyze malfunctions; Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, such as checking, cleaning, or repairing equipment, to detect and prevent problems; Calibrate testing instruments and installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications; Repair or adjust equipment, machines, or defective components, replacing worn parts, such as gaskets or seals in watertight electrical equipment; Consult with customers, supervisors, or engineers to plan layout of equipment or to resolve problems in system operation or maintenance; Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, or other specifications to determine installation procedures; Install or maintain electrical control systems, industrial automation systems, or electrical equipment, including control circuits, variable speed drives, or programmable logic controllers; Design or modify engineering schematics for electrical transmission and distribution systems or for electrical installation in residential, commercial, or industrial buildings, using computer aided.
