This project‑focused role requires frequent travel and close coordination with the Maintenance Supervisor and onsite leadership teams to ensure all work is completed safely, accurately, and with minimal operational disruption. You will contribute through strong technical troubleshooting, mechanical and electrical repair capabilities, and thorough documentation of all maintenance and project activities.
Ideal candidate profile:
You are a skilled electromechanical technician with strong troubleshooting abilities and experience supporting complex automated systems, excelling in fast‑changing environments and working confidently across various customer sites. You understand the critical importance of safety, planning, and clear communication when performing technical work within live operations. Adaptable, self‑directed, and team‑oriented, you take pride in delivering high‑quality work, maintaining strong documentation practices, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts during special assignments and project work.
Qualifications:
Relevant Electrical and/or Mechanical qualification Post-secondary training from a technical school or vocational program (e.g., Electrician, Millwright) Mechanical aptitude with strong attention to detail Strong PC literacy and comfort working with digital systems, including CMMS Demonstrated safety awareness and professional work habits Able to work both independently and within a regional project team Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules, priorities, and travel requirements Commitment to organized, efficient work practices and 5S principles
Skills/Experience Required:
1-2 years minimum experience as an Electromechanical Technician Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing automated systems (e.g., conveyors, cranes, hoists) Skilled in mechanical repairs and use of hand/power tools (a must) Familiarity with AC systems up to 600/400/480 volts and DC systems up to 24 volts Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, symbols, and electrical measuring tools Knowledge of electrical/mechanical drive technology (e.g., motors and gears) Familiarity with control technology (e.g., controls, inverters) Basic understanding of PLC logic Ability to work at heights up to 100 feet (30 meters) with training and PPE, such as fall protection harness Ability to work in temperature conditions ranging from 55°F to -15°F (13°C to -26°C), (PPE provided)
Key Responsibilities:
Follow all WITRON and onsite safety requirements to help maintain a safe working environment Support the execution of high-priority maintenance projects, including: Equipment refurbishments Major component replacements System upgrades or modifications Commissioning or decommissioning tasks Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs on automated systems during project work Carry out assigned planned maintenance or technical tasks according to project scope Document all project activities accurately and on time in the CMMS and required reporting tools Communicate job progress, issues, or delays to the Maintenance Supervisor and onsite leadership teams Replace, adjust, configure, and verify components according to established procedures Assist in validating equipment performance following repairs, upgrades, or commissioning tasks Maintain proper use and accountability of tools, spare parts, and project materials Maintain clean, organized work areas at each site by applying 5S principles Support continuous improvement and share observations that may help optimize future project execution Provide non-technical support to operators or onsite personnel as needed during project activities Be accountable for quality of work, efficiency, and minimizing equipment downtime during interventions Travel up to 100% as required to support projects and onsite teams Perform other duties as assigned
