This role requires technical expertise in fiber splicing, network installation, and working with low voltage systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with Erro routers, Ethernet, telephony, and cabling, along with mechanical knowledge and electrical experience. The Fiber Technician will perform field service tasks, ensuring reliable network connectivity for our clients across various environments. Duties Perform fiber splicing and termination to ensure optimal signal transmission Install and troubleshoot network infrastructure including Erro routers, Ethernet cabling, and telephony systems Conduct cable pulling, routing, and termination for telecommunication and low voltage systems Use hand tools and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters to test electrical circuits and cabling integrity Diagnose and repair issues related to fiber optics, Ethernet networks, and telecommunication systems Conduct field service visits for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting at client sites Follow safety protocols related to low voltage electrical work and mechanical procedures Document work performed accurately and update system records as required Requirements Proven experience in fiber splicing, network installation, and telecommunication systems Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including Ethernet, telephony, and Erro routers Hands-on experience with cabling techniques and mechanical installation procedures Electrical experience with low voltage wiring and troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision while adhering to safety standards Mechanical aptitude with the ability to use hand tools effectively Prior service technician experience preferred in telecommunications or related fields Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in technical tasks Valid certification or relevant technical training is a plus This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects within the telecommunications industry while utilizing a broad skill set that includes fiber optic technology, networking hardware, electrical systems, and field service operations.
