Mid-morning brings a break-fix call—diagnosing basic control-system circuitry, swapping a worn component, and verifying performance. After lunch, you might turn a small part on the lathe or use a drill press or grinder to recondition a tool, and finish with a quick weld to get a machine back online. You wrap the day with a 5S sweep, update maintenance history, and highlight a continuous-improvement idea that saves cost and time. Adjust functional machine components and control instruments to sustain and improve operations; repair or replace defective parts; recondition or repair machine tools. Identify and request required parts, supplies, and repair materials. Back up teammates and support other maintenance personnel as directed by leadership. Work in alignment with maintenance industry standards, 5S, and housekeeping expectations. Participate in continuous-improvement activities focused on process results and cost savings. Set up and operate basic machining equipment (lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools) to make or repair parts; perform basic welding as needed. Maintain accurate records in the CMMS and review equipment history for smarter troubleshooting. Troubleshoot basic control systems circuitry. Pursue technical self-study for ongoing career development. Follow all safety policies, procedures, and technical instructions; maintain situational awareness and call out unsafe behaviors or conditions. What You Bring High school diploma or GED. Associate degree with a technical focus OR 18+ months of related general-industry experience OR successful completion of the ATS Technician Progression Program. Working knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical systems with hands-on repair ability. Proficiency with basic hand tools. Sitting is occasional. You will occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. Close and color vision are used regularly. You may occasionally work outside and encounter risk of electrical shock.
