Electronic Technician - Marshall Patterson-UTI United States, Texas, Marshall 101 Carlile Circle (Show on map) May 14, 2026
Detailed Description:
Performs regular and scheduled maintenance on hydraulic fracturing equipment to ensure it remains in good working order. Conducts repairs on equipment as needed in the field using hand and power tools. Installs and configures electronic and electromechanical equipment and instrumentation. Assembles, installs, or repairs wiring, electrical, and electronic components. Travels to locations to perform emergency repairs on electronics and equipment. Diagnoses electrical problems and troubleshoots using wiring schematics, repair manuals, and part catalogs. Inspects, operates, and tests equipment and components to diagnose malfunctions. Tests equipment at the manufacturer's facility to ensure it meets company standards before field deployment. Documents repairs, inspections, and testing for all equipment. Maintains a safe work environment, adhering to all QHSE requirements at all times. Mentors and trains less experienced Electronic Technicians. Performs other related duties as requested.Job Requirements:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient use of electronic test instruments and tools. Extensive knowledge of instrumentation such as flow meters, transducers, densimeters, and controllers. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Proficient in using OEM software for configuring and troubleshooting related equipment. Knowledge of hydraulic applications controlled by electronic components and systems. Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics/drawings. Knowledge of data transmission protocols and equipment networking. Familiarity with radio communications. Ability to read and interpret safety manuals, operations instructions, and policies/procedures. Ability to write reports, simple correspondence, and effectively present information to coworkers, customers, and management. Skilled in reading blueprints and schematics for troubleshooting components. Understanding of basic electrical theory and circuit principles. Works effectively in a positive team environment. Promotes safety awareness and follows quality, health, safety, and environment policies and procedures.Language Comprehension:
Must understand and speak English at a level sufficient to issue, receive, and respond to both safety and operations-related directions.Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.Experience:
