$30-37 per hourPosition OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Automation Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated production equipment and associated control systems. This role combines electrical, mechanical, and controls expertise to keep processes running reliably and safely. The successful candidate will support preventative maintenance, perform root-cause analysis on failures, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.

Key ResponsibilitiesPerform troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on automated machinery, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

Diagnose and repair control circuits, PLCs, and HMIs.

Maintain and service variable frequency drives (PowerFlex and similar), motor control centers, and electrical power systems.

Inspect, repair, and perform routine maintenance on screw pumps, centrifugal pumps, and hydraulic systems.

Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs to support accurate repairs and modifications.

Use SAP (or CMMS) to document work orders, update equipment history, and manage spare parts and maintenance schedules.

Execute preventative maintenance tasks and reliability improvements to reduce unplanned downtime and extend equipment life.

Perform root cause analysis on recurring failures and implement permanent corrective actions in collaboration with engineering and operations teams.

Adhere to lockout/tagout, LOTO, and all safety policies while performing maintenance activities.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support installations, start-ups, and process changes; provide hands-on support during commissioning.

Qualifications3+ years of hands-on experience maintaining automated manufacturing equipment, including both controls and mechanical systems.

Proven experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley preferred), HMIs, and control circuit troubleshooting.

Hands-on experience with screw pumps, centrifugal pumps, and hydraulic systems.

Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, motor controls, and the ability to read schematics.

Familiarity with temperature controllers, sensors, and process control instrumentation.

Working knowledge of SAP or other computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for work order and inventory management.

Demonstrated commitment to preventative maintenance and reliability-centered maintenance practices.

Experience in food manufacturing, technical trainings, or certifications are an added bonus, but not required.
