Formosa Plastics is a privately held company headquartered in Livingston, New Jersey. Our core business, producing plastic resins and petrochemicals, takes place at three wholly-owned chemical manufacturing subsidiaries located in Delaware City, Delaware, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Point Comfort, Texas.
I. POSITION OBJECTIVE
To monitor the process in the area of responsibility to ensure equipment and control parameters are functioning as designed. To ensure the process is operated in a safe and efficient manner.
II. MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY 1.
Troubleshoot and repair all conventional instrumentation equipment including DCS and analyzers. 2. Complete daily paperwork as required; time sheets, Calibration records and Historical. 3. On call duty and work outside normal shift hours. 4. Run electrical conduit and wire, SS tubing & fittings 5. Calibrate all conventional instrumentation, analyzers & DCS. 6. Complete daily route check of assigned areas. 7. Adhere to all company policies and procedures including but not limited to; ISO, personnel, quality, environmental, health, safety, regulatory and other company requirements. 8. Comply with NTG (Nothing Touches Ground), NVP (No Visible Pollution) and THM (Total House Keeping Management) 9. Be active in Operation Clean Sweep, and ensure employees are aware of accountable for pellet loss prevention, containment, cleanup and disposal. 10. Maintain regular and reliable attendance. 11. III. QUALIFICATIONS A. TECHNICAL JOB CRITERIA 1.
Previous Related Experience Required 2 years of experience and a high school diploma or equivalent; Or Associate's degree in Instrumentation or Electrical or related fields 2. Technical Skills Required to Perform This Job Problem-solving mindset Safety Certification or safety classes a plus but not required. PLC and HMI experience a plus but not required. Troubleshooting and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently Preventive maintenance knowledge Good communication skills Accountability and reliability Self-motivated, curious and eager to learn 3. Education 1. High School diploma or equivalent 2. Valid Driver's License 3. An Associate's degree in Instrumentation or Electrical or related fields or an NCCER Certification or a minimum of two (2) years of plant electrical maintenance experience. 4. Be able to obtain within 90 days of employment and hold a "TWIC"- Transportation Workers Identification Card for duration of employment. 4. Other Certification/Training Required Will require training in Company Policies and Procedures after hire. Current employees must meet all technical and safety training requirements for current position, as specified in the Master Training Plan.
