(Title 32) with the Texas Nional Guard, your duties will include, but will not be limited to: Performs operional checks, inspections, tests and troubleshooting on electronic integred systems composed of a number of sensor subsystems: Integred Vehicle Health Management System (IVHMS), the Common Missile Warning System (CMWS), the Improved Countermeasure Dispenser System (ICMD), the Night Vision Goggle System (NVG), the Air Da Subsystem, the Attitude Heading Reference System (AHRS) and Doppler/GPS Navigion System (DGNS), Command Instrument Set (CIS) ; a logic subsystem
  • the Multiplex Da Bus System (MUX), the Multiplex Remote Terminal Units (MRTU), Da Link Terminal Units (DLTU), and Digital Automic Flight Control System (DAFCS); and actuing subsystems
  • , and the Digital Automic Stabilizion System (DASS), which includes the Stability Augmention System (SAS) and Command Augmention System (CAS) and Hover Augmention System (HAS).
Completes operional checks, inspections, tests and troubleshooting of Line Replaceable Units (LRU). Isoles unusual malfunctions using technical manuals, schemics, and wiring diagrams, tools and test equipment including automic test equipment. Solves problems by analyzing installion, circuitry, and opering characteristics of the systems. Adjusts and aligns sensors, transmitters, amplifiers, power supplies, display devices, controls, actuors, servos, computers and other reled components. Removes faulty LRUs for shop repair. Installs serviceable components into aircraft and performs total systems alignments in accordance with existing technical manuals and directives. Accomplishes technical manual compliance and modificion of components and systems and completes systems checkout for proper operion. Maintains, modifies, calibres and inspects a wide variety of user test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE). Completes bench check, testing, repair, inspection, modificion, programming, reprogramming, ming, adjusting, alignment, and analyzing of LRUs and shop replaceable units. Uses a variety of test equipment such as automic test equipment (ATE), oscilloscopes, DTA computer, multi-meters, power-meters, and special purpose bench test sets. Tests and troubleshoots solid ste electronic assemblies and subassemblies such as circuit cards, modules, re gyros, electronic control amplifiers, electro-mechanical assemblies, random access memories, programmable read-only memories and various integred circuits. Identifies faulty parts and repairs to level authorized. Ensures and certifies operional integrity of various night vision systems, and electro-optical components. Reassembles unit after repair, performs alignment and makes shop checks. Recommends methods to improve equipment performance, technical da, and maintenance procedures by reporting hardware and software malfunctions, inities merial deficiency reports both on equipment and in technical da, and assists in design changes as necessary. Conducts debriefing of aircrews to determine the nure of system malfunctions, then documents all maintenance performed and records informion reled to the system, LRU's, or shop repairable units on both aircraft and historical records. When designed on NGB Flying Stus Orders, serves as member of flight crew for the purpose of diagnosing and recording malfunctions, or otherwise determining maintenance and repair requirements. Guides lower level mechanics in the performance of duties. Conducts on-the-job training on assigned systems and reled support equipment and tasks to include classroom instruction as necessary. Processes and accounts for due-in supply assets. Ensures th merial and equipment are properly stored, protected and maintained and th funds are not obliged for merial or parts without proper justificion. Prepares for and participes in various types of readiness evaluions such as Operional Readiness Evaluions (ORE), Command Logistics Readiness Inspections (CLRT-X), and Aviion Resource Management Surveys. May be required to perform additional duties such as structural firefighting, aircraft handling, heavy equipment operion, and maintenance of facilities and equipment, or serve as a member of a team to cope with nural disasters or civil emergencies. Complies with safety, fire, security, and housekeeping regulions. Performs other duties as assigned. Specialized Experience :
Experience or training demonstring the ability to repair, align, and adjust major integred electronic systems such as inertial navigion system, automic flight control, or fire control system. Extensive knowledge of electronic, pneumic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems in order to understand and predict the progressive effects of malfunctions throughout the interreled units, (e.g., trace an apparent opering error in the hydraulic controls of a gun mount back to the failure of a tactical computer to integre yaw, pitch, azimuth, and velocity inputs) and to predict areas of technical difficulty in order to assist lower grade employees. Through knowledge of the applicion of electronic theories and practices to one or more complex integred systems such as fire control, inertial navigion, or automic landing control systems. Broad knowledge of such applicions as radar, digital or analog computers, digital or chode ray tube display devices, etc., and specific knowledge of the technology and practices which integre these components into a total functional system. Knowledge of mhemics including algebra and basic trigonometric functions in order to adapt standard formulas to the specific requirements of the integred system. Ability to follow drawings for integred electronic systems such as radar navigion systems which integre terrain informion from the radar, pitch, roll, and turn re, etc. from sensing devices and actue control relays. Ability to trace the effect of a change in one subsystem to other integred subsystems and determine which controls and devices must be changed or adjusted to compense. Ability to diagnose and determine needed repairs for malfunctions in electronics systems such as weapons control where knowledge of the entire system is necessary to interpret error da and trace back through a number of units of the system to loce the deficiency.
