Responsibilities Install, test, and troubleshoot 12-volt electrical systems including alarms, remote starters, audio systems, lighting, and other electronic accessories. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to ensure precise installations. Diagnose electrical issues using automotive diagnostics tools and implement effective repair solutions. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools to complete installations efficiently and safely. Collaborate with team members to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards during all phases of installation. Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and customer interactions for accurate service documentation. Requirements Proven dealership experience or background in automotive electrical systems installation is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, schematics, and electrical troubleshooting techniques. Mechanical knowledge Familiarity with vehicles or similar brands enhances your suitability for this role. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive service machinery safely and effectively. Excellent customer service skills combined with auto estimating experience are advantageous. Prior service technician experience with a focus on automotive electrical systems will set you apart.
