Role:
The Shop Technician inspects, maintains, and repairs customer-owned mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation. This role requires hands-on technical expertise to diagnose issues, perform maintenance, and complete repairs while adhering to safety standards. By working closely with the team, the Shop Technician helps ensure timely service and high customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure a high level of customer service is always provide Move, position, and secure power equipment and machinery weighing up to 75 pounds for inspection, testing, and repair, with or without reasonable accommodation Perform shop-based service work for power equipment, including disassembly, cleaning, repair, reassembly, and functional testing Complete detailed mechanical and electrical assemblies in accordance with manufacturer service manuals Accurately complete complex repair procedures in a fast-paced, noisy, and shared shop environment May provide assistance with the setup of new customer equipment May assist in the loading/unloading of product onto trucks Timely completion of assigned training and continuing education modules to stay current with manufacturer updates and bulletins Safely operate and maintain power tools, air tools, and diagnostic equipment following established safety procedures Evaluation finished work to make sure that the services asked for have been completed, to the customers' expectations Adaptability on projects from basic product needs to customer/specialized requests Maintain a clean and orderly workspace and assist with overall shop organization Perform other various duties, as outlined by supervisor Exude, understand, and demonstrate actions according to the Company's core values. Qualifications and Physical Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Proven experience as a technician or mechanic in a workshop or industrial setting Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints Ability to stand, sit, bend, and work around power equipment Ability to lift heavy objects (75lbs) repeatedly Ability to safely operate power tools, air tools, and diagnostic equipment Own a set of basic tools Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Technical certification or vocational training in mechanics, electrical systems, or related fields Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards in an industrial environment OSHA regulated

Work effectively in environments with varying noise levels, temperatures, and confined spaces typical of a power equipment shop Willingness to participate in pre-employment and random drug screenings Detailed and clear written and oral communication skills Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
