Job Description

Autoliv's primary goal is to Save More Lives. Our products never get a second chance. This is why we can never compromise on quality. We are working to increase vehicle safety by developing seatbelts, airbags and steering wheels and you can be part of our team as Maintenance Tech . In this role, under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, you will have the following responsibilities:
  • Ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of production assembly machine systems by verifying conformance to specifications, performing repairs, and documenting all maintenance activities.
  • Create mechanical and software control standards, understanding various electronic and safety devices, and providing technical documentation and troubleshooting guides.
  • Observe operation of machines and verify conformance to specifications by using hand repairs, assembles, installs, and maintains production assembly machine systems.
  • Document all maintenance activity and assist with machine downtime root-cause trouble-shooting activity.
  • Aid in creating both mechanical and software control code standards.
  • Create and issue written trouble-shooting guides, preventative maintenance work instructions, and technical work instructions.
  • Assemble and terminate (wire) control cabinet and machine components.
  • Perform other duties as may be assigned.
You will need to understand:
  • Pneumatic and hydraulic devices and how these respective systems/components are energized and controlled.
  • AC/DC theory and AC/DC electronic circuits with their corresponding schematics.
  • Electronic feed-back sensor devices.
  • Ladder logic and machine control program If you have: Technical Degree or enrolled in a vocational/technical degree program.
High speed automated machine repair, PLC, trouble shooting, control systems trouble shooting. Knowledge of electrical and mechanical machine applications. Ability to read Blueprints and wiring diagrams Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance, and full-time work status.
