Job Description

Overview Electronics Maintenance Technician III (H40-2026-25266) Bowhead seeks a Electronics Maintenance Technician III to support a newly awarded contract in Dahlgren, VA. This contract will provide configuration management (CM), logistics, mechanical and electrical engineering technician services, field service support, project management, drafting and design, technical writing, and acquisition services to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), Unmanned & Expeditionary Weapon Systems (H40) Division and Intelligent Automation (H60) Division. Responsibilities Job Duties to include but are not limited to: Applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices This technician works under immediate supervision and achieves technical guidance, asrequired, from supervisor or higher-level technician. Other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or passing score on the General Education Development (GED) exam Seven (7) years of full-time professional experience working as an Electronics Technician or related field, providing technical support related to hardware assembly, installation, and maintenance. Experience in working with operation of electronic assembly tools such as: soldering, cutters, crimpers, heat guns, labelers, ESD testers, continuity testers, volt meters, oscilloscope, and spectrum analyzers. Experience with following published user manuals and maintenance documentation to include reading electrical drawings and system schematics. The following certifications are also desired:
IPC J-STD-001
Solder, IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronics Assemblies, IPC-A-600 Acceptability of Printed Boards, IPC-WHMA-A-620 Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies, and
IPC-7711B/7721B
Rework, Modification and Repair of Electronic Assemblies. Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level.
