Job description:
The Instrumentation, Controls, and Electrical (IC&E) Technician installs, maintains, calibrates, and repairs plant instrumentation, control systems (PLC/DCS), and high/low voltage electrical equipment. They ensure operational reliability through preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot complex systems, and assist the plant in maintaining reliable operations. Key Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on instruments, control systems, motors, generators, and electrical components. Diagnose issues with DCS, PLCs, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), transmitters, and emission monitoring systems. Work with 480v to high-voltage switchgear, motor control centers (MCCs), and transformers. Adhere to safety procedures (Lockout/Tag out), maintain detailed equipment records, and ensure regulatory compliance. Support plant operations, analyze equipment performance, and coordinate with contractors. Required Skills and Qualifications Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, P&IDs, and control diagrams. Previous experience in industrial instrumentation, controls, and electrical maintenance, often requiring a "journeyman" level of expertise. Skilled in using electrical test equipment, calibration tools, and hand tools. #ENG1
