About the Role As a Field Equipment Repair Specialist, you will serve as a vital technical expert responsible for the diagnostic accuracy and operational readiness of specialized restoration and cleaning machinery. You will play a key role in maximizing equipment uptime, ensuring that our fleet of high-performance tools consistently meets rigorous industry standards for our clients. Responsibilities Perform precise diagnostics and mechanical repairs on 2, 3, and 4-cylinder gas engines, truck-mounted extraction units, and portable floor cleaning systems. Maintain the integrity of environmental control equipment, including dehumidifiers, air scrubbers, and HEPA filtration units, to ensure optimal performance. Drive service department productivity by managing repair workflows, creating accurate service orders, and providing detailed repair estimates to clients. Collaborate with team members to coordinate shop scheduling and parts procurement, ensuring efficient turnaround times. Communicate technical repair needs clearly to customers, fostering trust through professional service consultations. Uphold a high standard of shop safety and organization, ensuring all tools and testing equipment are maintained in peak condition. Qualifications Required Skills High School diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of experience in small engine repair, automotive maintenance, or restoration equipment servicing. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the past 3 years. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, service manuals, and basic computer software for scheduling. Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and adhere to strict safety protocols, including the use of PPE. Ownership of a basic set of mechanic's hand tools. Preferred Skills Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish. Advanced mechanical aptitude with a focus on complex hydraulic or pneumatic systems. Prior experience in a customer-facing service or repair environment.
