Job Summary DeLaval is a global leader in the dairy industry and a well-established company with its roots beginning in 1883. We are seeking a motivated and skilled Dairy Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing dairy farm equipment and industrial machinery on farm to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Your expertise will help support dairy operations by diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and conducting routine maintenance with precision and efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about working with a variety of equipment, farm machinery, and technical diagnostics to serve our customers feed the world with one of nature's most perfect foods. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on dairy equipment which can include vacuum systems, pneumatics, robots, and refrigeration. Conduct scheduled maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, service kits, and repairs to keep equipment operating smoothly. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to assemble, repair, or service equipment. Maintain detailed service records including inspections, repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostic findings for each piece of equipment serviced. Complete works orders and invoicing as well as managing inventory in service vehicle. Assist with the installation of new machinery or upgrades while adhering to safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Qualifications Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude with hands-on experience in repairing and servicing equipment. Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools necessary for installation, service, and maintenance tasks. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with customer service orientation to effectively communicate repair needs and solutions. Physical ability to lift over 50 pounds and work in various environmental conditions throughout the day. Preferred experience with electrical, plumbing, welding, and pneumatics. Must have current drivers license with clean driving record and ability to pass background check and drug test. $22.00 - $40.00 per hour
