S3 Maritime is a premier marine systems integrator serving commercial and recreational vessels throughout the Pacific Northwest. We specialize in advanced power systems, vessel electronics, navigation, communications, and fully networked helm and monitoring solutions. From lithium battery banks and solar charging to radar, sonar, and integrated bridge systems, our team builds some of the most technically advanced vessels in the region. We are seeking a Marine Electrical & Electronics Service Technician who is passionate about high-quality installations, precise troubleshooting, and modern vessel technology. If you want to work on cutting-edge marine systems instead of just swapping parts, this is the shop. What You'll Do You will install, upgrade, and troubleshoot both vessel power systems and onboard electronics , supporting everything from basic electrical distribution to fully integrated navigation and monitoring networks.
Typical work includes:
Installation and service of AC/DC electrical systems Lithium, AGM, and lead-acid battery banks Inverters, chargers, alternators, shore power, isolation transformers Solar and renewable energy systems NMEA 2000, Ethernet, and CAN-bus networks MFDs, radar, sonar, AIS, GPS, autopilots, cameras, and audio Digital switching and vessel monitoring systems Custom helm, dash, and panel fabrication Removal and replacement of aging or unsafe wiring and electronics System diagnostics, fault tracing, and corrective repairs All work is performed to S3 Maritime's standard: "Factory Fit and Finish — or Better." Technical Skills & Knowledge Electrical & Power Systems DC & AC theory: voltage, amperage, resistance, power 12V-48V DC systems 120/240V AC single-phase & three-phase Battery management systems (BMS) Charging systems (alternators, chargers, solar, shore power) Bonding, grounding, and vessel protection Marine Electronics & Networking
NMEA 0183 & NMEA 2000
Ethernet-based marine networks Radar, GPS, AIS, sonar, autopilot, cameras, and MFDs Digital switching and vessel control systems Data and power integration Fabrication & Installation Clean wire routing, labeling, and termination Power distribution panels, bus bars, and breakers Custom helm, dash, and electronics panel fabrication Working with fiberglass, composites, wood, and aluminum Troubleshooting Network and power diagnostics Voltage drop and load testing Root-cause analysis and system-level problem solving How You'll Work This is a professional service environment.
