In this role, you will be responsible for expertly connecting fiber optic cables to ensure fast, reliable data transmission for a variety of clients. Your expertise will help expand our network infrastructure, support IT infrastructure projects, and enhance connectivity across diverse environments. This position requires documentation of each splice made, will utilize an iPad to do so. Duties Perform precision fiber optic splicing using specialized tools and techniques to ensure optimal signal quality and durability Operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks and other construction machinery safely and efficiently for installation Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and network diagrams to accurately execute installations Climb poles, towers, or structures using appropriate climbing gear to access hard-to-reach areas for cable placement or maintenance Conduct system testing with computer networking tools to verify connectivity, signal strength, and network performance Maintain detailed records of splicing activities, equipment usage, safety inspections, and project progress Requirements Proven experience in field service roles within telecommunication or electrical industries with a focus on fiber splicing and cabling Ability to operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks safely in various construction environments Strong knowledge of fiber splicing techniques, schematics, and network infrastructure standards Skilled in the use of hand tools (fiber cleavers, fusion splicers), power tools, and testing devices for network troubleshooting Experience working at heights through climbing or working on elevated structures using appropriate safety protocols and in hand holes Construction experience with knowledge of schematics and safety procedures related to telecommunications infrastructure Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to read technical diagrams and follow detailed instructions Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety standards Join us in delivering high-quality connectivity solutions!
