Job Description

CONTROLS ENGINEER
The Controls Engineer designs new products and makes improvements to existing products. Evaluate products, parts or processes for efficiency and reliability. Work with engineering and shop teams to ensure production is completed in a timely manner. This role is located in the Mauston, Wisconsin office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in the electrical and pneumatic schematic design, manufacturing, installation and operation of components for Pharmaceutical and Nuclear equipment to include but not limited to heaters, blowers, valves, humidity sensors, oxygen sensors and pressure transducers. Test and installation of products along with documentation of the process. Answer customer inquiries regarding company engineering and production capabilities and provide technical information. Designs and completes electrical schematics using AutoCAD and AutoCAD electrical Knowledge in completing electrical schematics in E-Plan Oversee and coordinate the production of assigned projects to ensure compliance with established procedures and delivery schedules Troubleshoot problems to expedite fabrication Complete Bill of Material in Excel or other computer programs as needed to maintain database and produce reports. Write Modes of Operations, Functional Specifications, Hardware Design Specifications and Software Design Specifications. Assist the Field Service Manager on warranty claims Assist the Field Service team with question in the field. Suggest method improvements or alternate methods and materials to reduce cost and/or improve quality Follow established safety procedures and policies at all times Maintain an orderly and safe work environment Perform other job-related duties as assigned
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
(Education, Experience, Skills, etc.): Degree in Engineering required 2 years of engineering experience preferred Manufacturing experience preferred PLC and HMI programming skills Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Knowledge of engineering and programming including electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and computer programming. Proficient with spreadsheets and AutoCAD General knowledge of ANSI drawing standards Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
