  • 2:00 PM Direct Hire (full benefits after 60 days) Job Summary Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a skilled Laser Operator responsible for CNC Fiber and CO2 laser setup and operation, along with managing material handling through an automated storage system.
This role plays a key part in maintaining production quality, efficiency, and uptime while supporting troubleshooting, minor programming corrections, and operator-level preventative maintenance. Cross-training on multiple laser platforms and assisting other departments during slower production periods is expected. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC Fiber and CO2 laser machines Verify material thickness and load materials into laser stock systems Maintain production output that meets quality and time standards Identify and resolve cutting, alignment, and machine issues Troubleshoot minor CNC program errors independently Cross-train on multiple laser platforms and production cells Maintain accurate production and quality documentation Operate forklift safely when required for material handling Perform basic problem-solving for manufacturing issues Assist with operator-level preventative maintenance tasks Support other departments as needed during downtime Qualifications 2+ years of laser operation experience preferred Experience with Mazak laser equipment strongly preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications Skilled in using precision measuring instruments Basic shop math and dimensional understanding required Knowledge of materials, cutting conditions, consumables, and programming basics Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Additional Requirements Must be eligible to work in the United States Reliable transportation required Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check We Are An Equal Opportunity Employer Hablamos Español.
