Job Description

Hydra Service, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Service Engineer to join our team in Warrior, AL. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems, control panel design, and project estimating. A key requirement of this role is the ability to design and bid control panel jobs from concept through proposal, in addition to managing project execution in the field. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and project management skills to ensure successful project delivery while adhering to industry standards and client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity for growth within a dynamic environment where hands-on control panel expertise meets practical application in industrial and municipal electrical projects. Responsibilities Lead and manage electrical engineering projects in the field, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints. Develop detailed project schedules, resource allocation plans, and risk management strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design engineers, manufacturing personnel, and clients to define project requirements and objectives. Conduct root cause analysis for any project-related issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary. Ensure compliance with NEC standards and best practices in electrical engineering. Facilitate communication with customers to provide updates on project progress and address any concerns. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and contracts to ensure compliance with specifications. Design, bid, and build control panels from concept through commissioning, including schematic development, component selection, cost estimating, and final assembly. Perform wiring, soldering, and assembly of electronic components. Test and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs and SCADA) and other electrical systems. Experience Proven experience in managing electrical engineering projects with a focus on system design and integration. Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for collaboration with mechanical engineering teams on integrated projects. Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs, SCADA) and their applications. Demonstrated ability to design and bid control panel jobs, including scope development, material take-offs, labor estimating, and customer proposal preparation.
Pay:
$90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
