Field Engineer - Electrical (power)

Propersys Corporation is looking for a motivated field engineer in electrical (power) for our Gas Monitoring Systems (GMS). As a field engineer, you will work with our engineering and construction team to develop, implement and maintain low-voltage electrical designs for our large scale construction projects. You will be responsible for analyzing existing electrical and power systems, making cost-effective improvements, conducting research, designing testing methods, completing quality assurance, inspecting equipment, and running diagnostics. Propersys Corporation is looking for an individual with excellent analytical and problem solving skills, strong oral and written communication skills, and extensive practical experience.

Responsibilities:

Design and evaluate innovative practical solutions for projects and assignments with a focus on cost reduction, safety and reliability. Ensuring life-safety and fire code compliance of the design solutions. Apply routine engineering techniques, practices and procedures in support of operational areas. Provide technical direction and/or activity supervision to contractors and subcontractors as required by specific assignments and projects. Provide onsite support for construction and engineering teams to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Troubleshoot problems and design solutions associated with legacy systems and processes. Prepare detailed designs, standards for testing, and prototype fabrications. Perform other duties, assignments, or projects as necessary.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in electrical engineering or similar background.

Required Skills:

Solid knowledge in electrical power systems. Can read BIM and/or CAD drawings. Communicates well in a team. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint).

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and life safety monitoring and control systems typically used in critical environments PE experience is a plus.
