Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance Role Overview BEPC is seeking a highly experienced Senior Controls Engineer to support a leading aerospace customer in the development, integration, and production support of advanced control systems used in Auxiliary Power Unit (APU), Engine, and Cabin Pressure applications. This role is ideal for an engineering professional with extensive experience supporting aerospace electronic control units (ECUs), control system components, and safety-critical aerospace products. The selected candidate will serve as a technical leader, driving production support initiatives, coordinating engineering change activities, and collaborating across multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure product quality, reliability, and compliance. The position offers a unique opportunity to influence products throughout their entire lifecycle—from development and integration through production support and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Production & Factory Support Lead resolution of production and factory support engineering issues. Evaluate, substantiate, and implement engineering design changes. Prepare and release Engineering Change Notices (ECNs). Serve as backup Change Board Chairman (CB Chair) for site ECN activities. Coordinate engineering investigations and corrective actions. Support manufacturing operations to ensure product quality and delivery objectives. Guide and mentor engineers while helping distribute workload across production support activities. Systems Design & Integration Support development, integration, and sustainment of aerospace control systems and electronic control units. Ensure supplier drawings and components comply with engineering standards and governing requirements. Reconcile component-level requirements with system-level and customer requirements. Evaluate component performance within larger aerospace systems and applications. Support design updates, drawing revisions, obsolescence management, and product improvements. Technical Leadership & Collaboration Collaborate with component engineering, materials engineering, mechanical engineering, certification, testing, configuration management, and data management teams. Manage technical communications with suppliers, customers, and project stakeholders. Participate in planning, scheduling, milestone development, and risk management activities. Develop technical documentation, coordination memos, and engineering responses. Support qualification, verification, validation, and testing activities as required. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. 10+ years of relevant engineering experience. Experience supporting aerospace products and control systems throughout the product lifecycle. Strong background in production support, engineering change management, and systems integration. Knowledge of electronic control units (ECUs), sensors, actuators, and control system components. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications Advanced knowledge of systems development lifecycle processes. Experience supporting gas turbine engine control systems. Direct experience with components such as: Wire Harnesses Engine Starter Motors Oil Level Sensors Speed Sensors Electronic Subassemblies Actuation Systems Experience with electrical, electromechanical, fuel, hydraulic, or actuation systems. Familiarity with qualification testing and test setup conformity. Proven leadership experience supporting engineering teams. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
