This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on engineering, solving difficult technical problems, and working cross-functionally in a fast-paced medical device environment. What You'll Do As an Electrical Engineer, you will help lead the development of electrical subsystems from concept through testing, validation, and product realization. You will work closely with mechanical, software, systems, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure products meet performance, safety, reliability, and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead design and development of electrical subsystems for complex medical devices Analyze system requirements and translate them into electrical design solutions Support schematic capture, prototyping, simulation, debugging, and performance validation Develop and execute test methods to verify system and component capabilities Support design verification and validation activities Troubleshoot electrical issues and lead root-cause analysis Improve existing electronic designs for performance, reliability, and manufacturability Generate technical documentation, test reports, design summaries, and engineering records Collaborate with mechanical, software, firmware, systems, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory teams Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers when needed What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; master's degree preferred 4+ years of electrical engineering experience 2+ years of experience developing medical device systems Experience with schematic capture tools such as Altium or OrCAD Hands-on experience with communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet, or similar Strong understanding of ADCs, DACs, PLLs, DDS, power supply design, and power monitoring Experience with simulation, prototyping, board bring-up, debugging, and validation Strong documentation skills within a regulated medical device environment Ability to work cross-functionally and drive technical decisions Proactive, hands-on problem solver who thrives in a startup or fast-moving environment Nice to Have Experience developing low-noise electrical systems Knowledge of DSP, SoCs, and DSP filters Experience across all phases of design control Prior startup or early-stage medical device experience .
