Our primary focus has been the design, development, and management of automated molecular diagnostic systems. We are continuing to build a best-in-class technical team in Carlsbad, CA. We are looking for an exceptional Senior Electrical Engineer to serve as a technical lead, focused on the early research, tech feasibility and eventual development of automated molecular diagnostic assays.
Role Overview:
Senior Electrical Engineer will contribute to the design & development of products at Arete.Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement In vitro medical device systems
- Design, develop and test electrical systems and components for various applications, including power systems, control systems, and electronic devices.
- Create detailed schematics, drawings, and specifications for new electrical systems or modifications to existing ones.
- Participate in the design and development of embedded firmware for microcontrollers and other embedded processors.
- Provide regular updates on project status, communicating effectively with team members, project managers and clients.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations for both hardware and software.

Qualifications and Skills :
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant professional experience; OR a master's degree in a STEM discipline with 3+ years of relevant professional experience; OR a PhD in STEM with 2+ years of relevant professional experience
- Proficiency with digital/ analog designs, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other tools to troubleshoot and debug circuits
- Basic soldering skills for circuit assembling and modification
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accurate documentation and analysis
- Strong communication skills to convey project status, updates, and findings
- IVD experience and experience working in a
QSR/ISO13485
regulated environment is preferred Working Conditions and Physical Effort Moderate physical effort.
