Black & Veatch 8. Kennedy-Jenks Job Description 1: Is seeking an Electrical/Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Engineer to join our growing team. This is an extraordinary opportunity to do challenging and meaningful work for California's water infrastructure while building knowledge, skills, and relationships with water industry professionals. Co. is looking for the right Electrical/I&C Engineer to work with project managers and other team members across multiple disciplines to design low voltage and medium voltage electrical and control systems for water and wastewater conveyance and treatment facilities. Electrical and control systems include power distribution, lighting, emergency power systems, UPS, batteries, control panel design, and P&IDs. Mid-level engineers are expected to apply knowledge of commonly used electrical engineering and design concepts, principles, best practices, codes, and guidelines related to the electrical engineering industry. Additionally, you'll be expected to learn Co's QA/QC procedures and assist with other key aspects of design and construction (e.g., technical writing, specifications, review construction submittals and RFIs). The right candidate must have experience in one or more of the following areas - low voltage (480V) industrial design, medium voltage (4,160V) industrial design, industrial instrumentation design, and/or system integration.
