We're seeking an enthusiastic, high-energy engineer to help shape the next generation of camera technology. In this role, you'll collaborate with world-class experts across optics, controls, mechanics, and imaging to architect and develop custom silicon ICs that push the boundaries of what's possible in computational photography.","responsibilities":"Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, optical, firmware, product, test, and camera systems engineers to define silicon requirements Partner with silicon design vendors from architecture requirement definition through silicon delivery throughout the entire development cycle Provide guidance for verification and validation plans and review results to ensure quality and performance targets are met Drive the development of emulation platforms using discrete component design or FPGA implementations Review and provide guidance for board-level designs that integrate our custom silicon into camera systems Preferred Qualifications MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineer and relevant industry experience Experience in low-power, low-noise sensing and/or signal processing Experience with embedded systems and/or MCU-based custom silicon designs Experience with software/hardware co-design methodologies Experience optimizing designs across multiple disciplines to include hardware/firmware partitioning, trade-off assessments, and design verification Experience with C development from architecture through high-volume production ramp Experience working cross-functionally to drive engineering projects to completion Minimum Qualifications BS Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and a minimum of 3 years relevant experience. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
