Job Description
At Apple you will continuously push the envelope. You can't just pick off-the-shelf components. Instead, you must get creative and define them. As a member of our team, you will design and build the most advanced mobile display modules, with best-in-class performance, quality, and reliability. Your work will directly impact user experience for hundreds of millions of people.
As a Display Electrical Design Engineer, you will drive projects, from concept phase, all the way through engineering builds, and into volume manufacturing. You will work with internal and external teams to ensure a coherent end-to-end solution that challenges the status quo.
DescriptionAs a Display Electrical Design Engineer, you will drive display module electrical design requirements for new product introduction, from concept level and initial prototypes to mass production. You will contribute to the overall module architecture including custom silicon requirements and IPs, define validation plans, and manage our vendors to ensure we produce high quality products. You will work together with a world-class cross-functional team to designing exciting new products using state-of-the-art display technology that pushes the envelope of what is possible.
Preferred QualificationsExperience with module or system design and architecture focused on defining detailed electrical specs to meet high level requirements Experience working with cross functional teams on multi-disciplinary HW designs (HW, FW, SW, Mechanical/Thermal, Optical)Experience in one or more of: power (DC-DC converters, power management, low power design), analog and mixed-signal circuit designExperience in display technology, such as LCD, OLED, DLP, LCOS, e-paperExperience with PCB simulations for PDN, SI/PI/crosstalk, and EMI/EMCAbility to travel internationally up to 10% of the timeMinimum QualificationsBS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experienceExperience with PCB design including component selection, schematic capture, and layoutExperience using circuit simulation tools such as HSPICE or SpectreExperience with prototype IC or PCB bring-up, validation, and failure analysisExperience with coding or scripting with Python, Matlab, or similar tools\
