This role collaborates closely with Mission Assurance engineers and Test teams to ensure that electronics function under mission-critical conditions. Structured Description Position Overview The Hardware Electrical Engineer develops and validates electronic hardware to meet mission requirements for aerospace applications in a variety of radiation environments. This role designs circuits and boards, supports prototyping and testing, and works directly with radiation engineers to ensure hardware reliability under extreme conditions. Key Responsibilities Design, prototype, and validate electronic circuits and hardware systems. Support board-level layout, schematic capture, and component selection. Collaborate with radiation engineers and test teams to align designs with mission environment requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues during prototyping and testing phases. Participate in design reviews and provide technical input on system-level architectures. Contribute to documentation, workflow improvements, and knowledge sharing across engineering teams. Support radiation testing efforts including building DUT and test hardware Qualifications Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or related field. Strong foundation in circuit design, signal integrity, and hardware validation. Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium KiCad, OrCAD) Familiarity with lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies). Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware issues at the component and system level. Strong analytical and communication skills, with an ability to work collaboratively. Preferred Skills Experience designing hardware for aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability applications. Knowledge of radiation effects on electronics and mitigation techniques. Familiarity with mixed-signal circuit design and embedded systems. Experience with reliability testing and qualification processes. Additional Requirements This is an on-site role at our Los Angeles, CA office. May be required to travel occasionally to support test activities. Must be a U.S Person under
