We're seeking a multi-disciplinary candidate who is self-motivated and is able to set and meet goals. The Junior Electrical Engineer will work closely with the Electrical Supervisor to support and design electro-optical systems. The position works with a cross-functional engineering team for all electrical design engineering development and test activities. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Support product design through project lifecycle, from initial concept design through systems analysis/engineering, planning and execution within program budget and timelines coordinate design reviews to ensure designs meets customer requirements (functional and performance). Support and develop designs to meet high quality standard and ease of manufacturing, assembly and test Support electrical design implementation Incorporate Commercial -Off-the Shelf (COTS) products to designs as required Develop electrical system designs using Draftsight and SolidWorks Experience using SolidWorks PDM a plus Support electrical system modeling and analysis Support system design, integration and test efforts Support product transition to Operations and sustaining efforts Collaborate with system, mechanical engineering on acceptance, qualification and factory test planning, procedure and assembly methodology Support design validation/verification and testing Other duties and projects as assigned by management.

Electrical Engineering Experience:
Relevant 0-3 years' experience
Skills:
Preferred experience in aerospace, defense, automotive industry. Direct engineering development experience or related engineering project experience from the Universities Excellent presentation and communication (written and verbal) skills Applicant should be able to obtain Security Clearance. Support product design activities through all phases of projects, from initial concept Design through systems analysis/engineering, project planning/execution and reviews Support designing electrical systems including cabling, printed circuit boards, and integrated COTS products. Ability to analyze and design electrical systems for function, noise, and power use. Utilize AutoCAD for design and drafting and Altium for PCB schematic capture and layout. Possess strong written and verbal business communication, excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements include:
• Position requires ability to frequently stand; walk; use hands and reach with hands and arms. The employee may also be required to lift product or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
Pay:
$40.00 - $50.00 per hour
