We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to provide technical leadership and oversight on some of the most advanced industrial facilities in the world. Join us and you will have the chance to work on semiconductor manufacturing projects and other state-of-the-art industrial facilities. Ideal candidate will be located in Tempe, Arizona but there is geographic flexibility for well-qualified candidates located near a Jacobs US office. In this role, you will serve as an expert within your discipline, applying specialized depth of knowledge to solve complex problems and deliver innovative solutions. You will oversee designer work, lead project teams, and perform quality reviews of design packages while contributing directly to the most challenging aspects of the design process. Your responsibilities include engineering and design oversight for facility power distribution systems, grounding, and lighting, as well as occasional retrofit of existing building systems. You will prepare technical specifications and construction documents, ensuring alignment between drawings and specifications, and act as the Electrical discipline lead or Quality Control reviewer. Additionally, you will interact directly with clients, owners, and contractors, supporting construction activities on-site and participating in proposals to identify solutions to problems clients didn't even know they had. This position requires a broad perspective and the ability to recommend best practices, improve processes, and lead functional teams. You will work independently, with guidance only in the most complex situations, and serve as a trusted resource for quality and innovation. Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire At least 12 years of experience in engineering design of building electrical systems Electrical design experience for semiconductor or mission critical facilities Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and IEEE standards Extensive design experience with electrical power system equipment/components, such as switchgears, transformers, panelboards, generators, UPS, etc. Experience with power system modeling software, preferably ETAP Effective verbal and written communication skills Team lead experience Ideally, you'll also have: Senior technical leadership experience Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multidisciplinary teams Passionate about buildings and construction afelectronics #LI-TD1 Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
