$70K - $105K (DOE)
Overview:
We are seeking both entry-level and mid-level (Level II) Controls Engineers to join a growing engineering team focused on designing, programming, and supporting automated industrial equipment. This role plays a key part in developing control systems, supporting manufacturing operations, and ensuring reliable performance of machinery in a fast-paced production environment. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers early in their careers as well as those with a few years of hands-on controls experience looking to grow.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and troubleshoot control systems for automated equipment Program and modify PLCs, HMIs, and motion control systems Integrate electrical components such as sensors, motors, and actuators into machine systems Support system testing, debugging, and commissioning of equipment Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineering teams to ensure system performance Diagnose and resolve issues in production and field environments Maintain documentation including schematics, code, and system specifications Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to automation and controls
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field 1+ years of experience in controls engineering (internships and co-ops acceptable for entry-level candidates) Experience or exposure to PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms) Familiarity with HMI development and industrial automation systems Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and system diagrams Hands-on experience or knowledge of sensors, actuators, motors, and control panels Understanding of industrial communication protocols such as EtherNet/IP, Modbus, or serial communication Experience with motion control, VFDs, or servo systems is a plus Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing or equipment environment Ability to support system testing, debugging, and commissioning activities Comfortable working cross-functionally with mechanical and electrical engineering teams Strong communication skills and ability to work in a hands-on, fast-paced environment Benefits Competitive Salary Medical Insurance Paid Time Off Paid Holidays For this position you must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
