Space Systems Integration and Test group is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer OR Electrical Engineer (Integration and Test) to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals for the SDA program in Redondo Beach, California . You will have the opportunity to design, develop, and execute test procedures and automated test scripts using spacecraft commands, telemetry, and electrical ground support equipment. The ideal candidate has system level test experience working with spacecraft flight hardware and good computer skills. Daily responsibilities will require I&T test preparation leading to direct contact with satellite and space flight hardware. Candidate must be able to tackle issues utilizing skills obtained in the field of electrical engineering, or a related discipline, preferably as it relates to system level integration and test. Required skills include the ability to communicate clearly and to use critical thinking in troubleshooting of problems. The ability to use a scripting language and formulate automated test scripts is highly desirable. International/domestic travel to support launch campaigns may be required. Shift and weekend work to support testing will be required periodically. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: General use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques Develop I&T test procedures, specifications, and test limits Execute I&T testing, monitor tests per specification, troubleshoot, and document all test activities Understand NG test engineering practices and principles Understand both electrical circuits and software within the flight hardware and EGSE Support EGSE and flight hardware test/troubleshooting efforts with oversight from more senior Electrical Engineers Escalate test errors per NG/program process and understand when to pause testing and/or proceed Travel and support different shifts when required Ability to establish and maintain infrequent inter-organizational contacts on routine matters. Coordinates with ITEE team lead, electrical test conductors/technicians, and I&T managers to complete tasking. May participate or prepare material in program review boards (ERBs, TRRs, FRBs, etc.). $76,200.00•$114,400.00Secondary Level Salary Range:
$91,800.00•$137,600.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
