Become part of our team as an Electrical Project Engineer who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients' business. Join us and you'll have the chance to work on projects including semiconductor manufacturing and other state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. Ideal candidate will be located in Tempe, Arizona but there is geographic flexibility for well-qualified candidates located near a Jacobs US office. The role requires deep expertise in electrical engineering with working knowledge of related fields, applying best practices and business insight to improve engineering deliverables. The position involves independently solving complex problems, taking new perspectives on established solutions, and serving as a technical resource to less-experienced colleagues. Responsibilities may include leading small projects or areas within a larger project, owning schedules and technical quality for assigned tasks, and proactively managing scope, budget, and design changes. The role also supports coordination across disciplines, client interaction, and potential on-site/start-up assistance, contributing to the production of detailed electrical engineering deliverables such as installation details, wiring diagrams, layouts, schedules, and power, lighting, and grounding plans. Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering At least 6 years of experience in engineering design of building electrical systems Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and IEEE standards Extensive design experience with electrical power system equipment/components, such as switchgears, transformers, panelboards, generators, UPS, etc. Experience with power system modeling software, preferably ETAP Effective verbal and written communication skills Ideally, you'll also have: Professional Engineer (PE) license Electrical design experience for semiconductor or mission critical facilities Team lead experience Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multidisciplinary teams Passionate about buildings and construction afelectronics #LI-TD1 Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
