Industry: Electronic Components / Precision Equipment Manufacturing Title: Electrical Engineer Location: Santa Clara, CA 100% On-site Compensation:$75,000 - $120,000 , depending on experience and qualifications. Electrical Engineer - RF / Semiconductor Equipment A growing Japanese-affiliated technology company is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the development, manufacturing, testing, and release of RF-related products used in semiconductor manufacturing equipment. This position is ideal for candidates with an Electrical Engineering background who are interested in working with RF systems, semiconductor equipment, and customer-facing technical support. Position Summary The Electrical Engineer will provide engineering support for the manufacturing, development, testing, and release of automatic RF match networks and RF generators used in semiconductor process equipment. This role will also be responsible for creating technical specifications, test fixtures, and testing procedures. The position requires strong technical skills, effective communication with customers and internal teams, and the ability to manage assigned projects in a timely manner. Key Responsibilities Support manufacturing and production activities, including prototype and pilot builds and testing. Assist customers with the qualification of new products. Support service and repair activities for RF products. Work with Customer Support Engineers to resolve technical issues at customer sites. Provide regular project status updates to management and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks. Diagnose, test, and analyze the performance of electrical components, assemblies, and systems. Prepare and maintain technical records, including engineering schematics, equipment information, installation or operational issues, repair details, and corrective actions. Set up and operate standard or specialized testing equipment and manage equipment calibration. Participate in training and continuing education to stay current with industry and engineering developments. Install and maintain electrical control systems, industrial automation systems, and electrical equipment, including control circuits, variable speed drives, and programmable logic controllers. Travel occasionally to customer sites, both domestically and internationally. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field preferred. Entry-level to mid-level candidates are welcome to apply. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics. Education, work experience, or technical experience related to semiconductor manufacturing equipment or plasma technology is preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Japanese language skills are required. Ability to write professional technical documents, such as experimental reports, service bulletins, and meeting notes. Ability to communicate with the headquarters in Japan, including the use of translation tools when needed. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to support issue resolution. Ability to analyze detailed technical data and information for extended periods. Ability to work effectively with internal teams, customers, and stakeholders with different priorities. Comfortable working in a Japanese corporate culture and flexible in handling responsibilities beyond the written job description when necessary. Work Environment 100% onsite position. Work includes both desk-based engineering tasks and materials handling. Customer field service may be required. Up to 20% local travel Up to 5% international travel
