Principal Electrical Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with strong digital design capabilities and foundational analog experience. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in embedded system development, schematic and PCB design, and system-level troubleshooting. This role focuses on hardware and low-level embedded development. Responsibilities Engage in digital design and embedded system development. Perform schematic and PCB design, ensuring functionality and efficiency. Conduct system-level troubleshooting down to the component level. Utilize schematic design tools and instruments such as logic analyzers and oscilloscopes. Run design reviews and produce concepts to prototypes. Test board functionality and ensure communication and interface operations are working. Build upon previous designs depending on years of experience. Participate in low-level embedded development and embedded C programming. Essential Skills Proficiency in digital design and embedded system work. Experience in PCB design and schematic design tools. Ability to troubleshoot systems down to the component level. Familiarity with logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and Altium Designer. Experience in running design reviews and producing concepts to prototypes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in the medical device industry is a plus but not required. Work Environment The work environment is on-site in Santa Clara, Monday to Friday, in a state-of-the-art facility, contributing to innovative electronic product development. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Santa Clara, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $90.00/hr.
