Job Description

Founded in 1975, BR+A Consulting Engineers maintains a total staff of over 500 employees located at our main office in Boston and branch offices in New York, NY; Philadelphia, PA; Vienna, VA (Washington, DC); Coral Gables (Miami) and Tampa, FL; Chicago, IL; St. Louis, MO; Charlotte and Raleigh, NC; Charleston, SC; Houston, TX; New Haven, CT; Los Angeles, CA; Denver, CO; and Toronto. BR+A provides state-of-the-art integrated and coordinated mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection consulting engineering, technology systems design, lighting design, and building commissioning services.

BR+A seeks an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer in our Denver, CO office. Candidates must be strongly motivated, well organized, and show professional initiative. The ability to take ownership of assignments and perform well both independently and as part of the project team is necessary. The ideal candidate will possess a strong working knowledge of Revit, and their responsibilities will include:

Delivering high-quality designs and deliverables on technically challenging projectsManaging projects, writing proposals, maintaining positive client relationshipsProviding Engineering, Design work and drafting of plansImplementing approved system concepts from a schematic diagram to floor plansSketching rough layouts to review with Project Engineer or Project ManagerReviewing product cut sheets and technical informationCommunicating with Project Manager/Project Engineer regarding potential problemsMeeting with vendors to determine spatial requirements for the application of the productAttending meetings as requiredSubmitting the required documentation per project deadlines and milestonesAttending in-house coordination meetings when appropriateDeveloping a strategy to meet the projects scheduleAssisting in the development of engineering systems concepts (M/E)Assisting the design team on major design issuesOrganizing required technical correspondence, emails, and calculationsPerforming fieldwork and verification of existing conditions
Essential Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong understanding of engineering concepts, design, and spatial requirementsProfessional conduct and presentation Positive attitude, result-driven and team-orientedAble to think three-dimensionallyCapable of visiting job sites to perform fieldworkDetail orientated and deadline-driven
Minimum Qualifications:
