Senior Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineer

Senior Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineer Johnson Service Group (JSG) is actively searching for a Senior Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineer for our client's operation near Denver, CO. This is a long-term contract position with competitive pay. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on state-of-the-art projects. The Senior Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Engineer will provide expert I&C engineering services to client and its customers. In this role, you will lead technical efforts, oversee project execution, and ensure quality and compliance within the I&C discipline. You will play a critical role in driving innovation, efficiency, and excellence across medium and large-sized projects while mentoring and guiding the I&C team.

Qualifications:

8+ years of relevant experience in instrumentation and controls engineering. Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution. Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado (required); California (preferred). Strong understanding of protective devices and coordination techniques. Knowledge of ANSI, IEEE, IEC, NEC, and other relevant industry codes and standards. Ability to perform engineering calculations related to instrumentation and control systems. Familiarity with energy industry instrumentation and controls, including analyzers, control valves, safety valves, pressure and temperature indicating devices, network architecture, control systems, and PLCs. Strong client interface skills with the ability to understand and address client needs. Proven ability to lead and collaborate effectively with engineers and designers. Experience participating in Total Installed Cost (TIC) estimates. Ability to manage project scope, schedule, and budget.
