POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Circuit Design Engineer IV to support the development of advanced avionics systems within a highly collaborative aerospace and defense environment. This role is responsible for supporting sophisticated avionics hardware development, schematic capture, electronics analysis, troubleshooting, requirements verification, and system integration activities supporting mission-critical aerospace and missile defense programs. The ideal candidate has strong experience with CCA design, electronics simulation and analysis tools, avionics product development, and technical leadership within complex engineering organizations.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Design and capture electrical schematics supporting advanced avionics systems and hardware products
  • Guide board layout development activities supporting mission-critical aerospace electronics
  • Perform electrical Worst Case Analysis and Electrical Parts Stress Analysis
  • Support cross-functional engineering teams in the development and integration of avionics systems
  • Resolve test anomalies through troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities
  • Support generation, review, and presentation of Product Certification documentation
  • Support system-level testing and integration activities for aerospace avionics systems
  • Support technical evaluation of design activities and requirements verification efforts
  • Participate across multiple phases of aerospace hardware development lifecycle activities
  • Collaborate closely with peers, management, subcontractors, and government customers
  • Utilize electronics schematic and simulation tools including SPICE, PSPICE, Saber, Zuken, or equivalent platforms
  • Support highly collaborative engineering environments requiring strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline
  • Experience supporting electronics design with focus on CCA design and development
  • Experience serving as a technical lead or responsible engineer
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance required
  • U.S. Citizenship required Additional Qualifications
  • Experience leading engineering teams through technical and/or programmatic challenges
  • Experience supporting Space and/or Missile Defense programs
  • Experience with electronic systems schematic creation and interpretation
  • Familiarity with electronics modeling and simulation tools such as SPICE, PSPICE, and Saber
  • Experience utilizing schematic capture tools such as Zuken or similar platforms
  • Experience performing electronics analyses including Worst Case Analysis, Electrical Parts Stress Analysis, and Failure Modes and Effects Critical Analysis (FMECA)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills supporting technical discussions with customers and engineering teams
  • Strong troubleshooting, conflict resolution, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to work effectively within fast-paced, collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering environments
