We are seeking a Electrical Engineer that collaborates well in a team environment, has excellent communication skills, and proactively takes initiative. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a flexible and dynamic team environment while gaining direct product knowledge from experienced engineers. Additionally, you will have numerous opportunities to help represent the Harness and Cable team, with many opportunities for career development along the way. RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
In this role, you will work closely alongside experienced engineers to help meet safety, schedule, and cost. Your scope of responsibility will include technical development and coordination of harness and cable wire connection lists, engineering change support, and/or schematic capture of wiring diagrams. Additionally, your contributions will aid in investigating design factors such as part availability, manufacturability, ease of assembly, weight, and cost. Additional responsibilities may include:
voltage drop analysis, documentation release, testing requirement definition, Interface Control Drawing (ICD) interpretation, detailed Component Performance Specification interpretation, conceptual designs, and trade studies. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Strong collaboration skills will be key to your success as you work alongside experienced engineers in partnership with other disciplines, such as Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality Engineering. 3+ years of professional experience. While no clearance is needed to start in this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required. Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a Mechanical, Electrical, or other related discipline with a STEM focus and fundamental principles. Electrical design work experience (harnesses, cables, electronic boxes, electrical systems) Fluency in ECAD applications and modeling (ZukenE3, etc.) tools Product/system design experience Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance Additional Qualifications Harness Electrical design experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and problem solve Mechanical interconnect experience Voltage Drop Analysis experience Product Lifecycle ownership/management Familiarity with Space programs, flight specifications, and/or COTS electronic equipment The Global Edge Consultants, LLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
