Job Description

QTL is a leader in the architectural lighting industry that takes pride in providing quality to customers and innovating solutions for LED lighting and power supplies. As an Electrical Engineer for QTL, you will be a hands-on part of our team designing innovative LED lighting and power solutions for our product catalog and addressing specific client customizations. You will be a part of all aspects of the process, from concept to R&D, to production, honing your skills in each phase. Role and Responsibilities Engage on new product developments for lighting and power supply products Provide technical knowledge and counsel to non-technical audiences, such as customers or other departments Analyze, test, and optimize products utilizing different LED and power supply products, transformers, and circuits Develop/follow testing protocols for newly developed products Coordinate certification testing for new product developments Ability to work in a dynamic setting where project length can vary from short to long term Act as engineering contact for a completed product Qualifications and Education Requirements Product development experiences
  • 0-2 years Electrical engineering or other related engineering degree
  • 0-2 years' experience Electronics knowledge with AC voltages, DC voltages, Capacitors, Rectifiers and other components Experience with lab work, internships or relevant projects Familiarity with using electrical testing and measurement equipment Lighting design or product development experience
  • preferred Experience with circuit design and PCB layout
  • preferred Experience with writing technical reports and performing technical analysis Behavioral Skills Detail oriented Team player Hands on Good communication skills, both verbally and written Integrity Proactive Preferred Skills Ability to work in a dynamic environment Ability to work in a lab environment Ability to work with remote employees
