Position Summary and Special Duties:
We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager in Rocky Hill, CT. The company is experiencing strong growth in the alternative energy and industrial power sectors. This role will lead the engineering team supporting custom power distribution systems, automation control equipment, renewable power protection circuitry, and data center power configurations. This is a highly visible leadership role reporting directly to the General Manager and will play a key part in shaping the company's engineering strategy, technical execution, and future growth initiatives.
Job Description:
Lead and manage a multidisciplinary electrical engineering team, ensuring on-time and high-quality project delivery Design and develop control panels, renewable energy protection systems, and data center power configurations in compliance with UL and ISO standards Interpret customer requirements, specifications, and technical documentation and collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, and sales teams Prepare preliminary and final CAD submittals, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and engineering documentation to support manufacturing and assembly Drive innovation in engineering processes, tools, and product design to improve reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness Develop and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, layouts, and BOMs Provide technical leadership during product development, design reviews, and risk analysis Manage engineering resources, priorities, and project schedules to meet customer timelines and company goals Support quality control, testing, and compliance efforts to ensure products meet UL and ISO standards Interface directly with customers and vendors on technical and project-related matters Support both hands-on engineering work and team leadership responsibilities
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required (Master's preferred) Minimum 7 years of electrical engineering experience within a manufacturing environment Minimum 3 years of leadership or management experience Strong working knowledge of NEC codes and UL508A, UL891, UL687A, UL98B, and ISO9001 standards Proven experience designing automation control systems and/or renewable power circuitry Experience with electrical CAD software such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or SolidWorks Electrical Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and design-for-manufacturing principles Familiarity with Allen Bradley / Rockwell products highly preferred Experience supporting data center electrical designs is a plus Experience with EPICOR or similar MRP systems preferred Ability to work onsite full-time in Rocky Hill, CT Immediate hire preferred with ability to start within 2 weeks
