In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and testing electrical systems and components that drive cutting-edge technology solutions. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of complex systems involving FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Arrays), SoC (System on Chip), PCB (Printed Circuit Board) design, and firmware development. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that span signal processing, system design, and manufacturing processes, all while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results. Responsibilities Design and develop electrical systems, including schematics and PCB layouts using AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks, ensuring compliance with NEC standards and industry best practices Implement FPGA and SoC solutions utilizing SystemVerilog, C++, Python, MATLAB, and Simulink for high-performance applications Conduct root cause analysis on electrical failures or system malfunctions to identify issues efficiently and implement corrective actions Perform soldering using surface mount technology (SMT) techniques and mechanical assembly with tools like Arduino or microcontrollers such as ARM-based platforms Develop firmware and scripting for embedded systems, including debugging and testing with tools like Ohmmeter, Vision Inspection Systems, and oscilloscopes Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize electrical systems for production processes, including PCB fabrication and surface mount technology assembly Utilize CAD software such as Revit or MicroStation for system design documentation and layout planning Support system integration efforts by working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), signal processing modules, and mechanical knowledge to ensure seamless operation Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus Proven experience in electrical system design, development, and troubleshooting across various platforms Strong proficiency in FPGA development using SystemVerilog or VHDL; experience with C++, Python, MATLAB, or Perl scripting is highly desirable Hands-on experience with PCB design software such as AutoCAD or Revit; familiarity with schematics creation and layout optimization Knowledge of NEC standards, manufacturing processes, surface mount technology (SMT), and surface-mount soldering techniques Ability to perform root cause analysis on electrical failures using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters or vision inspection systems Mechanical knowledge related to system assembly or integration is advantageous Excellent problem-solving skills combined with effective project scheduling abilities to meet deadlines efficiently Join us to be part of a forward-thinking team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of electrical engineering innovation.
